Have a Questions for COCO?

Cannabis and Coffee:

Did you know that both cannabis and coffee contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds?

The Best Strains to Mix with Caffeine:

1. Vanilla/sugary cannabis pairs best with plain black coffee. Think of a glazed donut dipping into your coffee.

  • Strains: GSC, Cookies, Gelato, Wedding Cake, Ice Cream Cake and Vanilla Kush.

  • Terpenes: linalool, ocimene, myrcene, limonene.

  • Chocolatey cannabis pairs well with a light or medium roast coffee.

  • Strains: Cuvee, Chocolope, Chocolate OG, Choco Haze.

  • Terpenes: ocimene, linalool, myrcene.

2. Earthy cannabis pairs well with a dark roast.

  • Strains: Northern Lights, Bubba Kush, Green Crack, Earthquake, or any Cambodian landrace.

  • Terpenes: caryophyllene, myrcene, pinene.

  • Fruity cannabis pairs well with Robusta or Arabica coffees.

  • Strains: Mountain High Purps, Orange Cream, Orange Soda, Grandaddy Purple, Grape Ape, Runtz, Zkittlez. Strains high in ethyl propionate smell skunky but taste citrusy sweet.

3. Charred, mesquite cannabis will compliment an Irish coffee- particularly beneficial for hangovers.

  • Strains: GG4, White Widow, Northern Lights, Durban Poison.

  • Terpenes: humulene, terpinolene, caryophyllene, myrcene.

Two Simple Ways to Infuse Coffee (there are other ways!):

1. Tinctures and distillate may be added directly to you cup of coffee with no special preparations required- just mix well.

2. Infuse a pot of coffee:

  • Ingredients:

  • 0.02oz of decarboxylated cannabis

  • 3c water

  • 2tbsp butter or coconut oil

  • 1 strainer

  • 1 large container to strain into

  • 1 pan or coffee maker for final brewing

  • Instructions:

  • Grind up the cannabis as fine as possible

  • Bring 3c water to a boil in a pan and add in 2tbsp of butter or coconut oil

  • Reduce to simmer and sprinkle in the cannabis and let simmer for 40min, stirring occasionally to keep the herb from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

  • Remove from heat and pour through strainer into container.

  • Take the infused water and use the water to brew your coffee like you normally would.
